today is my birthday. Alhamdullilahh.. syukur..

 today, 19th September 2010, i have decided to change transmission oil. this is the first maintenance work on my bike since i bought it 2 months ago. I decided to follow Phil's recommendation to use 80W140 oil. the original oil has smell like burnt, and the oil color very dark. not sure what is the peoblem related to this sign? is there any problem that can transform the oil to dark/black color?

Set of bench and table.. look at the legs.. it is AK47..real AK47 (recycle).. only in Cambodia..

received some parts , most of it i purchased from beemerboneyard. looking and waiting for the right and free time to start wrenching. other parts on the way 1. coil plug puller 2. screw for ABS bleed 3. feeler gauge 0.15 and 0.30 4. DVD for references..

How to disconnect fuel line??

this is fuel line of my BMW 1150RT year 2004. I have no idea how to disconnect this fuel line? is there any special method or technique to operate this disconnector set? or can i just simply pull them apart by force.

what's on my mind? (home mechanic wannabe)

Things to do, are these in correct sequence?

1. Remove fuel tank.. disconnect fuel line (not sure how to disconnect the fuel line) - will include the fuel line's disconnector photo in the next post.
2. Brake ABS bleed test (dont know where to get wooden dummy brake pad) - any suggestion?
3. Valve setting (waiting feeler gauge.. and DVD).
4. Throtle Synchronising (need to buy digital multimeter for zero-zero method) anyway i've bought Carbtune already!
5. Change transmission oil.
6. Change FD oil.
7. change spark plug. (twin)
8. Change engine oil.
9. Spline lube? (is this recommended since i plan to remove fuel tank?)
